We started out by offering title services on any and all types of transactions, from second mortgages to REO. That diversity, coupled with our attention to customer service, is what built the company. Twenty-plus years later the range is still the point: a refinance for a mortgage broker, a cash purchase for an investor, a contract for deed, a commercial development, a new-construction closing — the same office, the same standards, the same people answering the phone.

We're experienced with the Minnesota market, Minnesota customers, and local and state law. That matters in a business where the details live at the county recorder's office, not in a national call center.

Independent, on purpose

Because West Title is independently owned, we are not affiliated with any one real estate broker, bank, or mortgage company. No one upstream directs where a file goes or how it is handled. Our loyalty is to our customers.

Federal law protects a homeowner's right to choose their own title company. We think that choice should be easy: a neutral third party that represents neither buyer nor seller, assigns a specific closer to communicate directly with the people at the table, and issues gap coverage on every transaction it closes.

REO, from experience

West Title has handled REO business for more than a decade. Successful REO closings — limited warranty deeds, servicer requirements, title cleared before the buyer's policy issues — are vital to a healthy housing market, and they are a discipline of their own. We treat them that way.

Over the years West has changed policies, procedures, and personnel to make sure customer satisfaction is the first priority.
